Peer Review and Editorial Policies

1. Editorial Principles

Liberty Academic Books is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence. All submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the scope of the publication. The editorial team upholds the principles of fairness, confidentiality, and ethical publishing in every stage of the process.

2. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Liberty Academic Books undergo a double-blind peer review process. Both the identities of authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

The review process typically follows these steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening: The editorial board checks compliance with submission guidelines, originality, and scope alignment.

  2. Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to two reviewers for critical evaluation of the methodology, conceptual depth, and contribution to the field.

  3. Revision and Resubmission: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.

  4. Final Decision: The editor makes the final publication decision based on reviewers’ reports and the overall scholarly quality.

3. Ethical Standards

Liberty Academic Books follows the ethical principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are required to ensure the originality of their work, proper citation of all sources, and disclosure of any conflicts of interest. Plagiarism, data fabrication, or redundant publication are strictly prohibited.

4. Editorial Independence

Editors and reviewers are expected to act impartially and independently. Editorial decisions are not influenced by the author’s nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or political or religious beliefs.

5. Author Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Submit only original and unpublished work.

  • Provide accurate data and proper citations.

  • Respond to reviewers’ feedback constructively and promptly.

  • Ensure all listed co-authors have made a significant contribution.

6. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and confidentially.

  • Provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based feedback.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.

7. Plagiarism and Similarity Check

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% are returned to the authors for revision or rejection.

8. Open Access and Licensing

Liberty Academic Books supports open-access publishing under the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). Published works are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing for sharing and adaptation with proper attribution.

9. Appeals and Complaints

Authors who wish to appeal editorial decisions or raise ethical concerns may contact the Editorial Office at editor@libertyacademicbooks.com. Appeals are reviewed by an independent editorial committee to ensure fairness and transparency.
